Happy new year!! I know I have been MIA for a few months now. But before you jump to conclusions and make me the culprit, let me tell you the real culprit, it's the "Creativity Worm." This worm decided to use itself in the college application, and me being, me I used it to the fullest. So you see.
But I'm back. So a few months ago, I was on a call with my friend following our usual ritual of sharing the highlights of the day. And once we ran out of the highlights, we came to daily things. And once done with that, we started with our second daily ritual. Any guesses? Since I don't expect you to be a psychic reader. And even if you are one, I'm sure you need more information than this. So we decided to stream songs. Listening to songs together is our thing. A small thing. But, it is always encapsulated with tons of calmness and memories.
And in between my friend asks, Hey, you know they say when we meet "The One" our hearts sync to their heartbeats. So. is that why our hearts skip a beat. Now, for the first time in my whole life, I found an assertion and reason as easy as that. I'm like yeah, I never thought about that. And then we both just passed that smile to each other. We were thinking about our respective loves, whom we both haven't got yet.
And they say when you hear about something you get reminded about your memories. And as Lag Ja Gale played in the background, I reminisced about my love. It felt surreal for a moment but it was good.
And then that annoying YouTube ad brought us back to reality. We both teased each other about being lost in the thoughts and laughed hard. I believe these little moments are what constitute memories.
And as the call ended, I hit the bed. All I could think of was how different each person loves the other, but when one thinks about their love it's always those little moments and those sheepish smiles. And, though nothing extraordinary had happened the whole day, I closed my eyes with a smile.

Wow! This was amazing! I loved your interpretation of the heart skipping a beat!
